I just finished the first draft of chapter one — woohoo!  It’s just shy of 5K now, and I’m sure it’ll be a bit longer when I revise and put in things like what stuff looks like and smells like and all those things I have to deal with in the second draft.  Still, I met my goal!  Let’s hope this trend continues over the next 5 weeks.
