The Picture Game

A writing game for generating story seeds, or to get your creative juices flowing, or to (re)connect with your muse.

The Picture Game: Mithras Variation (PDF Download)

You are an archaeologist who has spent several years researching an ancient cultic deity that academia knows very little about. This deity is only known through art, sculpture, and reliefs found across a continent once united by a long defunct empire. No writing, explanations, or details of worship or ritual have survived. You’ve identified three ritual “Scenes” repeated over and over in the various regional cultures that tell the deity’s story. After years of study, you’re sure you understand the deity’s background, story, and origin. Now it’s time for you to share your hypothesis with the world.

The Playground – a solo writing game (PDF Download)

Newborn deities, like human toddlers, need time to learn how to work and control their powers and develop good judgment on how to use them. To keep them from destroying the multiverse as they grow and learn, the Elder Deities created The Playground—a creche of pocket dimensions connected to a central hub located in the emptiest corner of creation.
